As many of you are aware, Joseph and I have been trying to get pregnant. I’ve shared my struggles with this on the blog and reached the point of feeling completely hopeless.

We are expecting!
We’ve had to keep this a secret and lie a little but with a week and a half until we’re out of the first trimester, and having heard a healthy heartbeat yesterday, we couldn’t wait any longer to share the big news.
While we both feel horrible about lying to everyone, I hope you understand the 1st trimester is a very nerve-wracking and uncertain time and we just weren’t ready to share yet.
I know that we’ve had a lot of people praying for us, and keeping us in their thoughts and for that I am beyond thankful. We are very excited to be expecting and as a special present to Joseph, I’m baking this kid to be ready right around his birthday.
(Oh and no the rumor going around was still wrong. I didn’t leave work because I was pregnant. The decision was made before I knew I was pregnant)
